Juan Agudelo will have a chance to impress at Liverpool beginning today as the New York Red Bulls rising star begins a two-week trial on Merseyside.
Agudelo is the youngest player in national team history to score for the United States, having scored on his debut against South Africa on November 17, 2010.
The 19-year-old also scored in a friendly against Argentina and is considered one of the brights spots in America’s soccer future.
The Colombian-born Agudelo scored six goals in 27 appearances this past season in MLS.
He is the third American to join Liverpool’s ranks.
